Celebrating its 66th Republic Day, India today displayed its cultural diversity and military might in front of chief guest US President Barack Obama. The Republic Day ceremony kick started at the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate where Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the martyrs.

As per customs, the tricolour was unfurled following which the national anthem was played with a 21-gun salute. The spectacular parade then commenced.
