Unverified reports claim that two senior government officials of Democratic People’s Republic Korea (DPRK) were executed using anti-aircraft guns!

A South Korean daily, the JoongAng Ilbo reported that former agriculture minister Hwang Min and a senior official at the education ministry named Ri Yong Jin, had been executed so.

By using anti-aircraft guns on them!

While the former agriculture minister is said to have been seen as a threat to the dictator, the education department official was allegedly being punished for dozing off during a meeting with the supreme leader of DPRK- Kim Jong Un.

However Reuters pointed that the report could not be verified and some previous media reports of executions in North Korea have later turned out to be inaccurate.

Kim Jong Un’s uncle, Jang Song Thaek, who was second in command was famously executed in in 2012 just a year after helping Kim to the top, after being charged with “crimes damaging to the economy.”

He was executed by firing squad though some reports had wrongly said he was fed to 120 dogs.

Similarly, there were also reports claiming that former defense minister  of DPRK Hyun Yong Chol was too executed by anti-aircraft guns for accused treason.
