President Barack Obama excoriated Donald Trump and the Republican party for “loose talk” and anti-Muslim rhetoric. The President also cautioned that their election messages are dangerous and unbecoming.

An irate Obama denounced Trump’s anti-Islam rhetoric which the latter resonated following the mass-shooting mayhem in Orlando. Obama was speaking at a function at treasury Department on Tuesday.

“We hear language that singles out immigrants and suggests entire religious communities are complicit in violence,” he said. The president slammed the election front-runner of Republican party after a discussion with his National Security Team on the US’s actions against IS.

“Are we going to start treating all Muslim-Americans differently? Are we going to start subjecting them to special surveillance? Are we going to start discriminating against them because of their faith?” Mr Obama said. He was also quick to question trump’s authority in the party and directly condemned Trump’s anti-Muslim rhetoric. “Do Republican officials actually agree with this?” He asked.

The bloodbath in the queer club in Orlando prompted Trump to repeat his controversial proposal to ban all Muslims from entering the United States on the grounds of counter-terrorism.
