Omnipresent Amma poster graces Siachen Martyr’s funeral
Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa who is known for her narcissistic personality, has once again stunned the nation when her cabinet subordinate wielded a poster of ‘Amma‘ while releasing a financial aid to the mourning mother of Sepoy Ganeshan who died in the tragic avalanche in Siachen.
Sepoy Ganeshan from Madras regiment was one among the 10 Indian soldiers who died in a catastrophic avalanche that hit their out in Siachen earlier this month.
In a photograph taken during the funeral ceremony of the deceased soldier, Tamil Nadu’s minister for co-operatives, Sellur Raju can be seen holding the poster of Amma along with a cheque of Rs 10 lakh.
It was learned that the poster was a means to make up for the absence of chief minister while handing over the cheque.
While the earlier criticisms were waved off by the TN government by calling it a mischief of ‘few individuals’, the fresh embarrassment has put TN government on the defensive.
