Pakistani born British actor gets fired after making racist comments on Indians

As tensions between India and Pakistan have risen high after the he Uri attacks, a lot of people from both countries have been speaking their mind over the matter on social media.

However, when this Pakistani actor took to twitter to abuse Indians, he was fired from a British soap for making racially offensive statements.

The 45-year-old Marc Anwar played the role of Sharif Nazir in British soap Coronation Street.

UK TV network ITV which airs the show said: “We are deeply shocked by the entirely unacceptable, racially offensive comments made on Twitter by Marc Anwar”

“We have talked to Marc and, as a consequence of his comments, he will not be returning to Coronation Street with immediate effect.”

The actor has deleted his tweets and issued an apology on his Youtube channel. It still remains to see, whether the network will pardon his behavior.
