But the misery of the makers doesn’t just end with the debacle at the Box Office. A Pakistani minister also saw the movie, as it shows the story behind the 5000-year old Indus Valley Civilization, which is now a part of international heritage sites in Pakistan. Sardar Ali Shah, the Sindh Minister for Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, felt that the movie is a full-fledged mockery of the beautiful history behind the Indus Valley Civilization. The minister also told the media that he felt that the movie was less of facts, and more of an outcome of the imagination of the director.

Many sites of the civilization are part of heritage sites as declared by UNESCO in Pakistan. After watching the movie, the minister has now demanded a written apology from director Ashutosh Gowariker, saying that the film has hurt sentiments of Pakistanis and has ridiculed history.
