After a dhamakedaar entry into Bollywood, Parineeti Chopra did not have quite the successful run she’d expected. If reports are to be believed, Parineeti avoided spotlight for the same reason and returned in 2016 in a much slimmer avatar. Having lost oodles of weight, she is now preparing for her next Bollywood film Meri Pyaari Bindu—in which she will also make her debut as a singer.

Simultaneously, the actress gears up to take the southern film industry by storm. She will make her debut opposite superstar Mahesh Babu in a Telugu film that will be directed by A R Murugadoss. The actors will begin shooting next month and the film will be shot on a whopping budget of Rs 100 crores, out of which Parineeti will be paid Rs 3.5 crores as fee.

With a director like Murugadoss at the helm of the project and a superstar to support her, Parineeti couldn’t have possibly asked for more in her first project down south!
