Mikhail, in an interview with The Quint, recalled Sheena’s revelation that Peter may have made sexual advances. Sheena was hospitalized in 2009 following ‘acute onset of breathing difficulty, anxiety, unknown fear and lack of sleep’. In the interview, Mikhail claimed that Sheena’s then boyfriend Kaustav Saikia was also present when she disclosed the matter.

Mikhail added that this could have been Peter’s motive in Sheena’s murder which took place on 24 April, 2012. Peter had reportedly failed a polygraph test conducted by the CBI regarding possible sexual relations with Sheena.

The Quint, in its article, has also quoted a psychiatrist Dr Harsh Saini of Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon. Saini had treated Sheena for her anxiety and insomnia. According to him ‘a person who described himself as Sheena’s father’ admitted her to the hospital in 2009.
