Let’s just get used to a daily dose of Kanhaiya Kumar, shall we? In fresh news, he alleged that a BJP supporter strangled him on board the Jet Airways flight.

Kanhaiya tweeted that a co-passenger allegedly tried to attack him on a flight from Mumbai to Pune.

According to Press Trust of India (PTI) reports, Mumbai police apprehended the man who was identified as Manas Jyoti Deka.

“A person has been detained for allegedly attacking Kanahiya on board a Pune-bound flight. The matter is being probed further,” a senior police official told PTI.

According to All India Students’ Federation national president Syed Waliullah Kadri, Kanhaiya’s colleagues thwarted the attack.

“Kanhaiya, I and two others from JNU had boarded the flight from Mumbai. This man suddenly got up and tried to attack Kanhaiya,” Kadri claimed.

Following the brawl, they approached the Mumbai airport authorities to file a complaint. However, after the incident, Jet Airways deplaned Kanhaiya forcing him to take the road-mode—the most popular mode for anybody who doesn’t have pockets full of money.

Kanhaiya accused Jet Airways for not understanding the difference between an assaulter and the assaulted.

Jet Airways replied to Kanhaiya Kumar’s tweet with their official statement on the incident.

“Some guests on board Jet Airways fight 9W618 from Mumbai to Pune have been off loaded at Mumbai airport in the interest of operational safety. At Jet Airways, the safety and security of our guests and crew is always of prime importance,” the spokesperson said.

The joint commissioner of police (law and order) Deven Bharti, according to the Hindustan Times, said that none of the allegations that Kanhaiya’s friend made were found to be true. “We asked him (Kanhaiya) to give a complaint but he did not. We also asked him (Kanhaiya) to do a medical test but he did not listen to us,” he said.

In Pune, Kanhaiya accused the police of falsely claiming that the fight was over seats. “Such brawls do not happen in planes, they happen in trains and on Mumbai locals. On whose behest are the police lying?”

The reason for the scuffle is still unclear. But look at what we found!
