It’s true that both Katrina and Kareena are expected to make an appearance at the Global Citizen’s first ever concert in India, but Chris Martin thought two of them were the same person. Oops!
At Global Citizen Festival at Central Park in New York City, Coldplay’s lead singer went on to name the celebrities that would attending the Indian edition the festival on November 19 in Mumbai and inadvertently mentioned Katrina Kaif as Katrina Kaif Kapoor.
Priyanka Chopra, who stood beside him immediately reacted with a ‘oh’, as soon as the Martin’s blooper. However, she quickly changed the topic, talking about how big the Indian edition of Global Citizen Festival is going to be. A classy move indeed!
It was earlier thought that Priyanka would be collaborating with Chris Martin to perform in India. However, it is now confirmed that she is too busy shooting for Quantico season 2 and wont be making it to Mumbai.
Although it’s a tad disappointing that Priyanka won’t be making it, the music event is shaping up to be one hell of an event.
The Indian edition of Global Citizen Festival which will be headlined by Coldplay and Jay-ZS will also feature guest appearances by Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor along with music maestro A.R. Rahman, music composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and singers Arijit Singh and Monali Thakur.
