Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s chief Raj Thackeray celebrated his birthday on Tuesday by cutting a cake having the image of AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi printed on it and thereby successfully managing to send offence to the Hyederabad based Muslim party.

Party accomplices of Thackeray greeted him at his residence in Dadar – ‘Krishna Kunj’ and reportedly gifted him the ‘controversial cake’.

The action has drawn condemnation from AIMIM, whose MLA Waris Pathan demanded action against those who cut the cake.

Raj had targeted Owaisi for triggering a row earlier this year by saying that he would not chant ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, even if a knife is put to his throat.

“Come to Maharashtra, I will put a knife to your throat,” the MNS chief had said.
