Superstar Rajinikanth is currently busy with Kabali and also the sequel to Enthiran. His next project is going to be a comedy. And that’s the Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit Bhaskar the Rascal which had Mammootty in the title role.
Siddique, who directed Bhaskar the Rascal, has announced that Rajini has given the go-ahead to do the Tamil remake of the film with him. The filmmaker, who has several hits to his credit in Malayalam, has also directed Kavalan, Friends and Saadhu Mirandaal in Tamil.

Bhaskar the Rascal, which had Nayanthara opposite Mammootty, was a hilarious tale about two single parents with plenty of comic action woven in.
Rajini, before he assumed his Superstar avatar, has featured in full-length comedies such as Thillu Mullu and also shown off his comic skills in other roles. For his fans, the remake of Bhaskar the Rascal will certainly be something to look forward to.
