Ram Gopal Varma, best known  for his gangster films Rangeela, Company, Sarkar and Satya, disappeared from Bollywood after a string of flops.

Now, the director is back after a gap of three years with a film based on the bandit Veerappan. The film-maker unveiled the first look of the Hindi version of his Kannada film Killing Veerappan whose slogan packs a punch: No villain like him ever existed. The first motion poster of the film is out too! This slogan boasts more: It took 10 years to kill Osama Bin Laden. It took 20 years to kill Veerappan.

Sandeep Bharadwaj plays the role of the bandit. Actors Sachiin Joshi, Usha Jadhav and Lisa Ray too play pivotal roles in the film. The film is slated for release on 27 May—the same day as his good friend Anurag Kashyap’s film Raman Raghav 2.0.
