Review Central: Calendar Girls: A bikini-clad B grade film
It would seem it hasn’t been a particularly good month for Bollywood films. Much hyped, none of the recent releases have managed to win critical acclaim. Madhur Bhandarkar’s film about young women who hope to make it big by taking the swimwear calendar route has been panned without exception. It has been described as excruciatingly painful, cliché-ridden and even exploitative for its excessive skin show.

Our take: We noticed with Heroine that the once impressive Madhur Bhandarkar was losing his touch. Go watch Calendar Girls if you want further proof of that.
