Review Central: Phantom – Not the ghost of a chance it’ll grip you
Kabir Khan’s Phantom that hits the screens this week, brings back the horrors of 26/11 and tells the story of a tainted soldier Daniyal Singh (Saif Ali Khan), handpicked by RAW to round up those who were behind the heinous act of terror and bring them to justice.
While it had every possibility of being a compelling watch critics have mostly given it a thumbs-down, mostly for unimpressive performances by Saif and a decidedly wooden Katrina Kaif. The screenplay, they say, is also flawed.
