Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe was recently caught on camera taking a tumble outside the Harare airport.
Now we do not condone making fun of an old man falling down, but the 90-year-old leader literally dug his own grave when he tried to get the photographers to delete the embarrassing snap.
His comments back-fired big time as the internet exploded with memes and countless photoshopped images of the leader in unflattering (And in honesty, quite hilarious) situations.
To make matters worse, Mugabe then reportedly declared that he would make sure that every single meme is taken off of the internet.
Perhaps he should have done a little more research on how the internet community has treated leaders who have tried to curb freedom of expression in the past.
As one commenter rightly pointed out, ‘Mugabe doesn’t quite know how the internet works.’
Either way, thanks to his ‘fall’, we were treated to some great comedy. Here’s a selection of the best of the lot.
