High court served a legal notice to Malayalam movie actress Lissy after Moovattupuzha native – N D Varkey approached the court seeking DNA test to prove that she is his daughter.
Demanding financial support from the actress, Varkey has been legally battling her for several years now. An RDO court in Ernakulam had ruled in favour of Varkey under the provisions to protect life and security of senior citizens.

However, Lissy returned to court against the ruling. It is at this juncture the septuagenarian decided to move to court seeking a DNA test.
Even when Lissy has seemingly disowned him, a debt trapped Varkey insist financial support for meeting the ends. He asks why she hasn’t filed a defamation case against him if he is not really her father.
Varkey reportedly suffered a setback in life before 12 years when he had fallen down from the stairs at his residence. According to him, financial crisis caused by a mounting loan arrear is also another reason that forces him to plead maintenance from his estranged daughter.
It is learned that Varkey who got separated from Lissy’s mother many years back and later moved in with another woman. Nevertheless, his demand is justified as long as his claims are true.
