Silence please: Make way for IPL’s most bizarre moment featuring Pollard & a sellotape!
IPL fans know too well that Kieron Pollard is quite the character. More often than not, the West Indian is not only the tallest man on the field, he’s also the funniest.
The Mumbai Indians’ all-rounder showed us another glimpse of his antics on Sunday during the IPL game between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
After a brief spat with fellow West Indian and RCB opener Chris Gayle, Pollard received a warning from the field umpire, who basically just told him to keep his mouth shut.
Unamused by the umpire’s call, Pollard, who has his own ways of dealing with on-field issues, then pasted a sellotape on his mouth (not figuratively), to show us his much too literal rendition of a silent protest.
Naturally, there were quite a few reactions.

As the big man appeared on the big screen with his mouth taped, he brought the crowd alive and the Mumbai support staff couldn’t help but react with laughter. The Chinnaswamy staff made full use of the incident as the words ‘silence please’ appeared on the big screen soon after the exchange.
Now we don’t know if Pollard will be fined by the authorities for protesting against an on-field decision, but we do know one thing for sure — there won’t be a dull moment in the IPL as long as Pollard is part of it.
The tape on the mouth from Kieron Pollard is one of the most bizarre things I have seen. He does have a "come look at me" about him.
