Several feel-good stories about unsung heroes have come to light thanks to social media platforms and their billion users. A story about an IIT-Kharagpur-graduate-turned-Uber-driver Anand is now doing the rounds but with an anomaly.

You may have noticed that the route map of the trip (as depicted in the Uber UI), given the time 11.28 pm, is questionable. Uber could have suggested a much shorter route as opposed to the detour.

Though the original post by Facebook user Shrikant Singh was meant to applaud Anand’s honesty, Uber’s bizarre discrepancy in showing a suitable route for the passenger became a raging topic of discussion and was brought to the fore by social media users themselves.

Shrikant Singh himself came forward with a slightly cheeky justification.

Let’s hope that the epicentre of the issue Anand would take cognizance of this discussion and give a logical explanation about the much debated route map.
