She came down heavily on the media which has been running parallel courts inside newsrooms which has so far imparted a celebrity whistleblower image to Saritha.

Sunitha, in a prominent Malayalam news daily, sharply criticises newsroom agendas and contradictory stances taken by Saritha since Solar scam surfaced in 2013. She lists down the contradicting claims and statements made by Saritha till date.

“One day she will say her modesty was outraged and she was raped. Next day, she will change her stance. Does she know the meaning of modesty? … If she was raped, why did she not file a case and pursue it? Does not a person who can drag a chief minister to the court have the courage to do so?” she asks.

In her article, Sunitha also makes a pertinent move by questioning media for hyping the statements made by her while the case is still sub-judice. She argues that it would have adversely affected the smooth progress of case hearing by Solar commission which was constituted to investigate the scam.

Sunitha expresses concern over the growing popularity of Saritha following her glamorization by media. “She is not a celebrity but a ‘hellibrity’ who makes the life of others a hell,” says Sunitha in the article.

However by according a ‘Hellibrity’ status to Saritha for “making other’s life a hell”, Sunitha sort of seemed determined about her conviction. Further she turns rhetoric and takes dig at four supposed movie producers who are ‘reportedly’ featuring Saritha in their upcoming movies.

“Are you all not ashamed,” she asks.

Sunitha also questions the double standards displayed by Kerala television audience who according to her ‘heaps scorn on sexual abuse victims like those in Suryanelli or Paravoor and celebrate accused persons like the lady in solar scam’.
