Sushma Swaraj helps Pakistani student to realize her medical career in India
External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has reached out to a 19-year-old Pakistani student – Mashal Maheshwari who was unable to give all India medical entrance test due to her nationality.
After receiving a resident visa, she moved to India along with her folks two years back.
“Though we were well-off there, we were concerned about our security,” Mashal’s parents were quoted by Hindustan Times.
After clearing her CBSE examination with an aggregate score of 91.6 percent, she wanted to give All India Pre-Medical Test in order to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor.
However, reportedly her Pakistan nationality came as a roadblock in her chase to fulfill her dream. After her story went viral, twitter and Facebook users requested HRD minister Smriti Irani and Narendra Modi to help out the child.

Finally External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj stepped in to help the girl.
Mashal – Don’t be disappointed my child. I will personally take up your case for admission in a Medical College. @aajtak
