Take over Pakistan before India does—Osama’s message to jihadists

Excerpts from a booklet written by Osama Bin Laden, the brain behind the 9/11 attacks and former chief of Al-qaeda, reveal that he had predicted how India would decisively attack Pakistan in the future. He also urges fellow Mujahideens to take control over Pakistan by waging a ‘jihad’.

In the booklet called ‘Jihad in Pakistan’ declassified by the US intelligence he urges his fellowmen to fight the Pakistani military and destabilize the region. He also says that Pakistan is in the final phase of ‘fragmentation’ and jihadists should make use of this opportunity to rethink their strategy.

It further reveals how Osama believed that the US intends to divide Pakistan into five or six regions, and that the Indian forces independently or with the US’ assistance will carry out the attack. He also claims that India had plans to invest in 134 fighter aircraft which would be the largest military deal in the history of the world. He says that India’s participation in joint naval exercises in the Arabian Sea with the US, Australia, Japan, and other countries, and the joint military training with Britain in the Siachen region validates the conspiracy.

He further adds that by inking nuclear deals with the US, convening the largest ‘strategic war games’ in Hyderabad, launching an Israeli satellite to spy on Pakistan and increasing its defense forces’ size by a million, India had fulfilled parts of a larger plan.

In his grand plan, Osama wants Mujahideens to plan and take control of Sarhad and Baluchistan to weaken the government. He writes, “We have to launch raids against the Pakistani army that is deployed on the Indian border. The border armies will not come to the rescue of armies in Sarhad and Baluchistan and will focus their efforts on strengthening their positions in their areas, as they are sensitive areas from the point of view of Pakistan’s war with India.”

“After that, if we begin to pressure the remaining army in the western part by intensifying our jihad and military call, we trust that this army which surrendered to India in Bengal when it was 90,000, will crumble in front of the Mujahideens for the sake of God in a much quicker manner; especially if they realize their link with Punjab and Sind is severed,” he writes.
