‘Black burger’ debuts in India: Here’s 5 more bizarre burgers that promise delicious shudders

This burger was launched on 7th May, 2015 at the recently opened Barcelos outlet in Khan Market, Delhi. With these burgers, the charcoal colour has been taken to a different level altogether!
This introduction has taken many back to the 2014 black burger war in Tokyo between the giants Burger King and McDonald’s. While Burger King introduced the Black Kuro Burger series with black cheese and squid ink on a beef layer, McDonalds tried to steal a march with its limited edition Halloween Bun Burger that used black squid ink buns to sandwich twin beef patties and other ingredients.
Speaking of Halloween, it’s pretty awesome to look at some of the most bizarre burgers ever made around the world. This might just be the best sort of start to creating one’s own concoctions!

1. The Crabzilla
This formidable looking burger is from France and is the creation of the famous graphic designers turned burger artists Quentin and Thomas.
The ingredients are a spider crab patty with a filling that includes slices of tomato and mango, lettuce leaves, lemon, fennel, cheese and mayonnaise. You can use your own creativity to add more components. The base suggests that already, doesn’t it?
2. The Burger King Whopper with 1050 strips of bacon
This amazing but ever-so-slightly heavy burger (ahem!) is a mega fill of bacon, bacon and bacon!
This also contains the normal fillers used in any regular burger, i.e. tomato and cheese with a bit of silver lettuce underneath. Can you even see that here??
3. 1 UP Mushroom
Believe it or not, that’s what it’s called! Inspired by the Mario Bros series, this green-ish burger, another Burger King offering, actually has an evenly spread coat of food coloring on it!
With cheese and mushroom in between and extra pieces of mozzarella on the top you are good to go. It just looks weird, but the secret is simple enough!
4. The Ocean Burger
Should one eat it underwater? Nope, but that’s the general idea. You get that feel of salmon before even making it there.
These burgers from France have salmon on top, with salmon, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and onions inside.
5. The Skittles Burger
If you’re a lover of sweet things, this might just be the burger for you!
Made of Skittles only! But think about it, is this a burger at all?! That’s up to you to decide!
