Watching caged wild animals is quite distressing. The situation if reversed would enable man to reckon how disheartening it is to spend their life contradicting natural purpose.

Somebody who realized the emotional bondage between living beings, their natural instincts and surroundings has changed the way one understands wildlife, thus stepping away from conventional concept of a ‘zoo’.

Lehe Ledu Wildlife Zoo in Chongqing city cages humans and lets the wild animals roam free.

The tourists are caged in a four-wheeler to show around free roaming animals in an open habitat.

Chickens are used as bait to attract the animals so that the visitors can see them up front. They feed the animals through a small opening in the wired mesh that separates them from the predators.

Animals in the zoo include Bengal tigers, white tigers, lions and bears.

If you plan to check it out, you’ll need to book slots well in advance. The zoo was booked for three straight months when it first opened in 2015.
