With big ticket releases like Rudramahadevi and Bahubali preparing for release, the Tollywood gal brigade is all set for another surge in their ratings. Here’s a look at who’s going to sizzle on the Telugu screen in the coming months.

1. Anushka Shetty

She’s the reigning diva inTollywood this year. Two of Anushka Shetty’s much-awaited Tamil movies, Lingaa and Yennai Arindhaal, have hit the screens.

Up next are Bahubali, the period film which has already raised expectations. Anushka will also star in the title role in Rudramadevi. Shooting for this magnum opus, a 3D film, has been completed. The actress will soon be seen opposite Malayalam Hero Dileep in Kodi Ramakrishna’s the multi-lingual Baba Satya Sai.

2. Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Ever since her debute in Ye Maaya Chesave, Samantha has been tagged ‘lucky lady’of Tollywood. Her films Brindavanam, Eega, Dookudu, Attarintiki Daaredi and Manam have all been hits and kept her on top of the rankings. This year, Samantha is working on Trivikram’s Son of Satyamurthy in which she is cast opposite Allu Arjun and another film with Ram Charan. There is also speculation that Trivikram is keen on signing Samantha for his next project starrring Mahesh Babu. Working with the A-listers, Samantha is riding the wave, to be sure.

3. Kajal Aggarwal

Temper is making waves at the box office and Kajal is back with a bang this year. In 2014, she had starred in Yevadu and Govindudu Andarivadele, both of which were hit films. Meanwhile, she will also be seen in Merupu in which she plays Ram Charan Teja’s love interest.

4. Shruti Hassan

Though she is busy in Hindi, Shruti has continued to act in Telugu films. Last year, her movies Yevadu and Race Gurram did well, while Aagadu met with a lukewarm response. This year, she has been roped in for an untitled movie starring Mahesh Babu to be directed by Koratala Siva of Mirchi fame.

5. Nayanthara

Nayanthara is having a great run in Tamil and Telugu. She has been roped in for the Balakrishna-starrer Dictator. Earlier, she’d starred in Simha and Sri Ramarajyam with the superstar. Last year, she also featured in Anamika, the remake of Kahaani.

6. Tamanna Bhatia

Last year Tamanna acted in Allari Sreenu and Aagadu, both of which were average grossers. This year, she is expected to make a big comeback with the most awaited film, Bahubali, and in Ravi Teja’s Bengal Tiger.

7. Charmi

Charmi has the knack of combining her talent for item numbers with roles of substance. This time she is back with the sequel to Mantra. Apart from that, Charmi fans can also look forward to Jyothi Lakshmi, a woman-oriented movie, to be directed by none other than Puri Jagannath. The buzz is that this movie is the biopic of the danseuse Jyothilakshmi. There’s also talk in Tollywood that Charmi will star in the Telugu remake of Queen, which will be a crowning glory for her.

8. Regina Cassandra

Regina was one of the most in-demand actresses last year. She won appreciation for Kotha Janta released last year. After appearing in five Telugu movies, including Power and Shankara, currently, she is shooting for Subramanyam for Sale opposite Sai Dharam Tej. This is a big-ticket release and is bound to send her ratings soaring.
