These sparring duos should kiss ‘n’ make up on Valentine’s Day

It’s all about the spreading the love, right? So, these duos, who don’t have too much love lost between them, might want to pull off a patch-up:

1. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan

This is the long-running mother of all Bollywood battles. Sure, SRK was at Salman Khan’s sister’s wedding not long ago and the two sparring actors even hugged at an Iftaar party. But Salman Khan has been keen to emphasise that they ‘are not really friends’. Their animosity goes back a long way — so long, that fans of both stars think they should bury the hatchet or whatever else that’s bothering them and just be friends already!

2. Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone

“Deepika Padukone is not my friend,” Anushka Sharma declared on Koffee with Karan, while Deepika was far more circumspect about the alleged tension between the two. Just wondering if it’s got anything to do with DP currently dating Ranveer Singh, who was once seeing Anushka. But now that they are both settled in their relationships, they could be friends again, right?

3. Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor

Here’s another starry spat that goes back to KJo’s talk show. Sonam Kapoor took digs at Ranbir Kapoor. He may have been willing to overlook the jibes, but not so Papa Rishi Kapoor, who spoke about Sonam’s lack of class and bad upbringing. Well, that was all awhile ago, but things just haven’t returned to normal, according to the Bollywood grapevine. They might want to start afresh now. And do you think Sonam might want to be more careful about what she says, especially on TV?

4. Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone

Uh-oh. It’s the Kapoor girl again. We all know she said ‘Deepika’ when Karan Johar asked her to name a girl-gone-bad. What’s more, when asked to name one thing that Deepika has, but she hasn’t she said, ‘An overenthusiastic PR team’. Irony is, both actresses were managed by the same PR agency at one point. But then Sonam felt the PR was not helping her and switched to another agency. C’mon gals, you were friends once upon a time. Or was that just you playing let’s-pretend?

5. Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan

Dressing room goings-on have a nasty way of making their way out to the public. During the India-Australia Test in Brisbane last year, it came to be known that vice-captain Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan had so bad a showdown, that team director Ravi Shastri had to step in bring matters under control. Make up, boys, you’ve got the World Cup to think of.

These party-allies-turned-political-opponents pulled no punches in the run-up to the bitterly fought Delhi elections. Insults were traded and accusations of cowardice made. But Kiran Bedi may want to wish Muffler Man when he assumes office on February 14th and be cordial with him again. They did, after all, support the same cause at one time.
