This acrobat couple’s dream wedding destinations will make you rethink your wedding plans
Cheetah Platt and Rhiann Woodyard have ditched the conventional wedding and are on a journey to get married 38 times in 12 different countries, including India. The professionally trained acrobat couple from California wanted to make their wedding special without pouring a lot of money into a single-day wedding ceremony. That’s how they came up with the concept of a ‘worldwide wedding.’ The couple have actually crowdsourced funding for their dream wedding, or rather dream weddings!
Folomojo spoke to Cheetah on his experience in India. They had wedding ceremonies in Mumbai, Aurangabad and the Ajanta caves. “India was INCREDIBLE! Getting married in the Ajanta Caves was the most incredible experience of the whole trip. Standing in the ancient amazing temples was mind blowing. We couldn’t believe that they weren’t built but actually carved out of the mountain rock. It was so powerful and moving.”
Lovers of Indian food, the couple says, “Saag Paneer is our favourite Indian dish along with delicious Chicken Tikka Masala!” Cheetah says, “I ate a lot of street food while in India! It’s my favourite country to get fried snacks on the street!” The couple is currently in Phuket, Thailand, and will go to Singapore, Australia and Fiji before heading back home to the US.
Signing off, Cheetah says, “This picture we took in Mumbai, on the shores of the Arabian Sea is the one I love the most so far. It captures our skill, the beautiful surroundings, and the other people who watch and enjoy what we do!”
