This Delhi mom did something really awesome when she found out her son was actually a girl

We have seen parents like Shivy’s, the NRIs who showed us what they can do if their born-biologically-female child doesn’t behave like a girl and toe the line. At the same time, here’s another mother Mishi Singh who has set an example by buying her son (now daughter) her first dress.

When Mishi found out that her son Krishna is transgender, she took her to the counsellors.  Krishna was 14 then. Now, 16 and a student at Vasant Valley School, New Delhi, Krishna is transitioning. This July she did something which makes us salute her mother. With her mother’s support and assistance from teachers and friends Krishna put aside her boy’s uniform and switched to the gender neutral physical education uniform. She is already on hormone replacement therapy.

Today, Krishna is Naina and wears a salwar kameez to school. This video tells you how free she feels today as she is no longer trapped in a boy’s body:

Naina owns a YouTube channel by the name NainaQueenB where she uploads stories of her daily life struggles, her quandaries as well as her rocking weekend parties and her make-up tricks. She is toweringly tall and looks stunning in dresses and heels! She too carries herself in a sari with equal swag. She is very particular about her hair and you will envy her collection of pearl jewelleries:

But things didn’t come that easy for her. Naina and her mother had to face the entire world  and tell everyone why she is wearing women’s clothes. Naina was once shown the doors of beauty salon. While suffering from depression last year she attempted to commit suicide. But now she has come out. And she is all happy about it.

Here she teaches you a thing or two about make-up:

Here’s Naina dressed to the nines and having fun with her girlfriends:

And you will absolutely adore this one where she plays ‘salt and ice’ challenge with her mother dearest while her pup is still trying to figure out what’s going on.  :)

But this one will surely prick your conscience:

She has plans for sex-change operation post her Class XII exams. And she too dreams of starting an NGO so that she can help transgender children go ahead in life.
