Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla are undoubtedly the top fashion designers in the country today. Since the launch of their designer label in 1986, the duo has come a long way and carved out a niche in the fashion industry especially with their wedding couture.
Neetu Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, the Bachchan family, and younger actresses such as Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone turn to the designers for classy ethnic or western wear.
But let’s just say Sonam Kapoor is the brand’s current face! The actress often steps out in Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s creations. While promoting her film Neerja, Sonam wore the designer duo’s sarees at almost every event.

Jani and Khosla’s creations were also showcased on international red carpets by celebrities such as Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Freida Pinto. Their reach seems to have significantly increased after they launched their label ‘Jani Khosla’ internationally.
Recently, international pop sensation Beyonce donned an exquisite creation by the designers for the music video of Coldplay’s latest song Hymn for the Weekend. She looked stunning in the hand-embroidered dress with gold and crystal encrusted lotus sequins teamed with a floor-length Gota-coat over her shoulders.

The Jani-Khosla brand made its international debut through Giuliana Rancic, known to co-host E! News and many other entertainment news shows, when she wore their mirror-encrusted gold dress to the 2016 Grammy Awards.

Singer Carrie Underwood was the most recent celebrity to be wooed by the duo’s designs. She wore a gold embellished dress, hand-embroidered with mirror-work and gold zardosi at one of her ongoing Storyteller Tour performances. Her stylist Marina Toybina added around 2000 chain-and-bead embellishments to the minidress.
