And, one day while looking at the collection of pictures, he realized it would make a wonderful book. So, he chose a state that is close to his heart, his home state – Karnataka.

Keshav says, “Karnataka is probably not a hot tourist destination like many other states, just because people don’t know much. In fact, except snow-capped mountains, Karnataka has everything to offer. It’s simple wonderful and the fact that many of them are still relatively unexplored makes it an ideal destination for eco-tourism.”

The book has been aptly titled, Facets of Karnataka – A Pictorial Journey.

Talking about the many challenges that he encountered in making the book happen, he says, “For me, more than anything else, it was the effort that went into taking pictures of water bodies, during the monsoons.”

Explaining further, he says, “Water bodies are most beautiful when it rains, so I had to trek for a few kilometres, battling leeches, slush and difficult terrain. But, the end result – to see the water bodies gushing in its full glory, makes the effort priceless.”

Believing in the philosophy of travelling is living, he encourages youngsters who enjoy the waterlust to travel at least once a month. He says, “It not only relaxes the body and the mind, but also the soul. You develop love for nature and become one with it.”

Here are a few pictures from the coffee table book, that gives the world a glimpse of a beautiful state, called Karnataka.
