It was a very special birthday for actor, writer, producer, stand-up comedian and the sensational host James Corden this time. The man, who has a phenomenal fan following thanks to his superhit shows The Late Late Show With James Corden and Carpool Karaoke, turned 38 on August 22, 2016.

On August 21, Corden joined popular band Coldplay on stage in Los Angeles to pay a tribute to the legendary artist Prince at the LA Rose Bowl. Corden and Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin belted out a powerful cover of Nothing Compares 2 U, to which the stadium erupted with cheer. What happened next was probably the biggest surprise of Corden’s life.

Following the performance, as Corden said his goodbyes to the crowd and the band members, Martin made an announcement about his birthday and had a cake brought out from backstage before he started singing Happy Birthday. Soon enough, the stadium, which was packed to capacity, joined him in wishing Corden. A pleasantly stumped Corden was left teary-eyed as he blew the candles and turned to the audience and thanking them. He also got down on hs knees and bowed to Martin to thank him for the very sweet gesture.

Now that is going to be one unforgettable birthday!
