To those mommies who are wondering what “2 minute” delicacy to give their kids now!

Now that Maggi is no longer the flavour of the season, here are other great two-minute ideas every mom should try out.

1. Breadelicious – Roughly chop bread into small pieces and roast them in ghee. Sprinkle sugar on top and serve. Ahh! The aroma!!

2. Flatrice Fantasy – No. Relax. Not poha! Just soak flat rice for a minute or two, to bring in the moisture. Sprinkle sugar and grated coconut over it. Grated jaggery or brown sugar is healthy alternative for white sugar.

3. The dupe for noodle – If you want to give the noodle-like snack to your kid, try getting rice noodles (Idiyappam) and give the Chinese twist to it with some soya and tomato ketchup.

4. Biscuit pudding – Grind biscuits to powder consistency and add some nuts and almonds you like. Now add sweet condensed milk to it. Slurp!

5. Crunchy Rolls – Grated carrot and Paneer sautéed with some ketchup can be used as a filling inside chapathi rolls. It would be a healthy and yummy snack!

Enough of eating? What else can you give your child in those minutes?

*Sing a stanza from their favourite song.
*Appreciate them about something they have done well.
*Make them water a plant along with you.
*Let them free to speak their mind.
