Twitterati trashes PM’s ‘despite being a woman’ comment, gives out blatant responses
Our Prime Minister is in the news again, but this time, it’s not for the MOUs he has signed with a foreign country but for a comment he has made on foreign soil.
Narendra Modi when speaking in Dhaka university, praised his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina for fighting terrorism ‘despite being a woman’. This attribution has got Modi in a soup and set Twitter abuzz.
Abounding in sarcasm and insult, the tweets hash tagged #DespiteBeingAWoman, are cringe worthy, but this time the PM seems to have asked for it.
Below are some of the tweets that berate the PM to no small extent:
#DespiteBeingAMan I can't think of a single wise crack to use the #DespiteBeingAWoman hashtag.

#DespiteBeingAWoman she did not fight for her rights as his legally wedded wife nor for the respect accorded to a PM's wife in 7 RCR.
