This rendition of Rahman’s ‘Dil Se Re’ by music students across ethnicities will floor you

What can be more awesome than seeing students from different backgrounds, in a university of high repute, singing a Bollywood song? Yup that’s right! This happened last year when the legendary music composer A.R.Rahman, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate at the Berklee College of Music, for his contributions. And on this occasion, The Berklee Indian Ensemble, one of the major music groups of the University rendered one of Rahman’s cult songs: Dil Se Re from the movie Dil Se.

The best part about the performance was that, students from all over the world, belonging to various cultures came together to perform and the result was phenomenal.

Today when ethnic conflict, religious disharmony, civil wars and random violence seem to be the norm of the day, this sight of harmony through and for music is balm to both ears and the eyes.

Relish the spectacle and the music at the same time!
