A Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader was thrashed and handed over to the police, after he allegedly molested women in at a Muharram Majlis, while being disguised as burka clad woman.
The incident reportedly took place on the night of September 8, in a Muharram Majlis that was organised at Mani Umarpur village. VHP district secretary Abhishek Yadav along with another youth dressed in burka were caught molesting women present there.
A bunch of women got suspicious about the two burqa clad women and forced them to lift their veil. The villagers rushed in and thrashed Yadav, after the women accused of him of molesting them. The other young man who was accompanying him had somehow managed to escape.
Police have registered a case on Yadav who is the husband of BJP zila panchayat member Shipra Yadav. However, the family claim that he was attacked and robbed by people while he was returning home.
