Video: Gigantic Mount Everest avalanche triggered by Nepal earthquake caught on camera
A gigantic avalanche, which was triggered by Saturday’s massive earthquake in Nepal and other parts of the region, has swept through a base camp south of Mount Everest killing at least 13 people and injuring several others.
In this video, the severity of the avalanche that is sliding towards the base camp in the Himalayan region has been caught on camera.

According to reports, several climbers have been trapped in different base camps across the Himalayan mountain region. In a tweet, Romanian climber Alex Gavan, who ran for life from his tent on the base camp, confirms the same.

Meanwhile, another video from the Everest south-side base camp, filmed by Jost Kobusch, a German climber, shows the onslaught and the aftermath of the avalanche. The mountaineer is seen trying to save himself from the falling rocks and snow.
The video uploaded by Jost Kobusch saying, “The ground was shaking from the earthquake and as soon as we saw people running we were running ourselves to save our lives.”
