Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has been diagnosed with dengue and is under observation in her apartment. Her two neighbors, including actor Shahid Kapoor, were served notices by the BMC for failing to prevent breeding of aedes aegypti mosquito, which are responsible for the spread of Dengue.
Upon surveillance the BMC reportedly discovered that Shahid’s swimming pool had been lying unused and had become breeding grounds for dengue causing mosquitoes.
“In a flat on the fourth floor, we found a Petri dish for plants and a tarpaulin on the terrace and an unused swimming pool in Kapoor’s flat were found to be mosquito breeding spots. We have served notices to both of them,” said Rajan Naringrekar, the
