Watch: Sherlock goes Victorian in new trailer and looks every bit scintillating

Sherlock is back in 221B Baker Street, London. But this time, you will note a ‘slight’ change. He is wearing a classic Victorian coat and cap with oiled back hair, instead of the sleek modern suit with the much-loved ruffled locks we are used to seeing him in.

You will also notice men traveling in horse drawn carriages instead of cars, women wearing gowns and corsets against formal skirts and pants, policemen wielding whistles, not guns and of course Watson with a thick moustache.

That’s right! For Christmas  the series co-created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss will go Victorian, back to the days of Arthur Conan Doyle himself!

But Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are every bit the same brilliantly clever pair and the pace is loyal to the much loved original BBC Sherlock series. Slated to be released  soon, the exact date of release hasn’t been specified.

The 4th season in its original setting and splendor will begin shooting early next year.

So find out if you like the witty pair in Victorian clothes or modern ones?
