As the America space agency – NASA prepares for the ‘Jupiter Orbit Insertion’ of Juno spacecraft on Monday evening, Hubble Space Telescope captured stunning images of auroras on the poles of gas giant.

A video, produced by NASA by using the pictures taken by the space telescope orbiting the Earth, shows the exuberant dance of blue light in the north pole region of the Jovian world.

Auroras are a natural electrical phenomenon in a planet’s atmosphere, usually near the poles and are characterized by bright streaks of light in the sky. The phenomena is caused by the interaction of charged particles from the sun with atoms in the planet’s upper atmosphere.
