Watch this 8th grader impress RBI governor Raghuram Rajan with an unbelievably smart question

Rajas Mehendale, a class 8 student from Dombivli’s Sister Nivedita School just asked the RBI governor a question that was so brilliant that even one of the country’s top economists was taken aback for a moment.

“The mere rumour of the US cutting down on the federal stimulus saw the rupee crashing in value. When will we see an Indian policy affecting other countries so intensively?” Rajas asked.

Rajan, who was understandably surprised and impressed at the same time, praised the smart question and did manage to come up with a satisfactory response. He concluded with words of praise for the student: “Great question. By the time you’re old enough to get a job, we’ll be a significant force in world economy.”

Bravo, Rajas. Thanks for making us hate ourselves for not taking our school lessons seriously.
