If you thought the two immensely talented actors are on a holiday jaunt to God’s Own Country, think again.  The tinsel town grapevine had been abuzz with the coming together of the two for some time now, and the latest word is that the they are teaming up for a movie titled KERALA.

It’s not the first time that Kerala has been theme and location to major Bollywood flicks, but this time around God’s own country is itself the title for a movie made by a Mumbai film maker.

To be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Kerala is said to be a thriller and will be mostly shot in locations in the southern state.  The project was conceived after Amitabh Bachchan told Ghosh that he would like to act in a film written with himself and Siddiqui in lead roles.

Ghosh embraced the suggestion wholeheartedly and that’s how the thriller took shape. The Bachchan-Siddiqui starrer in Kerala, titled Kerala, is expected to thrill film goers across the nation when it opens in theatres sometime next year.

It is rumored that Kerala will  get rolling in a few months time after Ghosh finds time to narrate the story to the two actors. It is also being said that the director has lined up a workshop in this regard before starting to shoot the flick.

The film made by the man who blazed the Bollywood trail with his Jhankar Beats and then recently opened up a whole new world of film-making with his hugely applauded Kahani, is sure to keep audiences hooked. Adding to that would be the charm Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui shower on to the silver screen. The picturesque locales of Kerala would be a bonus.

As a film maker who knows very well on how to narrate a tale on celluloid, Sujoy Ghosh is expected to add to his fans from the south with a number of Malayali audiences too looking forward to the release of the flick with their state right up there on the title.

Amitabh’s recent release Piku has been a major hit in Kerala, while Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Kahani had turned out to be a rage when the film was shown in theatres in the state. Now with both the top actors coming together in Ghosh’s film that has Kerala on prime slot in the credit titles, Kerala sure would rock this part of India.
