When a no-nonsense woman anchor cut short a boorish cleric in a TV debate

It doesn’t happen often, especially in the Middle East, a woman taking on a man… and winning!

Rima Karaki, a popular Lebanese female anchor on Al-Jadeed TV, silenced boorish London-based Egyptian cleric Hani Al Seba’i when he started hogging a panel discussion with an off-topic rant.

After Al Seba’i refused to heed repeated requests to keep to the topic, Karaki simply cut him off the air when he asked her to “shut up”.
