William and Kate’s new-born princess is turning heads everywhere: Here are some of the royal toddlers before her
Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s new born princess is the talk of the town. From the lists of possible baby names trending in social media to her would-be-wardrobe style guesses, the world is already waiting for more on the little one.
To celebrate the birth of the new princess, we take a look at royal babies through the years.
Prince Charles
Here’s a 1948 shot of Prince Charles on his mother’s (Queen Elizabeth II) lap. The first born of the Queen with Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, Charles went on to marry the beautiful Lady Diana. Their children are Prince William and Prince Harry.
Princess Anne
This is Princess Anne, Charles little sister in her mother’s arms. Her children don’t enjoy royal titles as they belong to the female line of the royal family. Believe it or not the Princess is 12th in line to the throne. Do you see any chances of that coming about?
Prince Andrew
Here is the third child of the Queen and the Duke, Prince Andrew. Born in 1960 after Prince Charles and Princess Anne, he is 6th in line to the throne. The ‘Duke of York’ as he is titled has two daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
Prince Edward
In this picture, baby Edward can be seen surrounded by the Queen and his brother Andrew. Prince Edward is the last of the Queen’s children and was born in 1964. He has two children James, Viscount Severn and Lady Louise.
The next generation gets more interesting with the clan starting with the handsome Prince William and his brother Prince Harry.
Prince William
Prince William, born in 1982 to Prince Charles and the lovely Princess Diana, is the second to the throne after his father. He married his long time love Kate Middleton in 2011. Does this picture ring a bell?
Prince Harry
Prince Harry was born in 1984 to Prince Charles and Lady Diana. A proud uncle to brother William’s kids, ‘chocolate boy’ Harry stands fifth in line to the throne.
Princess Beatrice
Princess Beatrice is Prince Andrews’s first daughter. The 27 year old is seventh to the throne and is not a full time royal member. She is also the second female in succession to the throne after the newborn princess.
Princess Eugenie
Then comes the Princess Eugenie, Beatrice’s little sister and Prince Andrew’s second daughter. The 25 year old princess, who is the third female in succession to the throne, is interestingly at present working as an auction manager.
Lady Louise
Lady Louise is the first child of Prince Edward. She was born in 2003. Prince Edward and his wife decided to avoid passing on royal titles to their kids due to the burdens of royal titles. At 11-years-old, Lady Louise has often been seen attending important royal functions.
James, Viscount Severn
He is the youngest grandchild of the queen and the second child of Prince Edward. The 7 year old is 10th in line to the royal seat.
Prince George
First son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince George is third to the throne. Kate gave birth to George in July 2013. A royal baby who has attracted a lot of attention, George was seen with his dad at the hospital to welcome his newborn sister.
Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana
Thus we arrive to the latest addition to the clan. The fourth in line to the throne will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
London looked a fit place to welcome their princess, with the London bridge lighted a bright pink. The princess is already colouring the town . What more is in store?
The fact that they put pink lights on the London bridge after the princess was born is so adorable to me #Royalbaby pic.twitter.com/KqQslYGbTS
