Thanks to the legally binding constitution of the land which enshrines protection its citizens. Lest you might have been one among the ‘lakhs’ who would have been beheaded by the so-called ‘guru’ of Yoga Baba Ramdev for not chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’.

Clearly targeting religious minorities in the country, Ramdev in a rather inciteful statement on Sunday, found consolation in the constitution of India which has stopped him from beheading ‘lakhs’ who oppose chanting of the slogan ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’.

Chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’ is an affirmation of citizen’s faith in the country according to him.

“If any religion bans the chanting of ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’ it is against the interest of nation,” said Ramdev addressing a ‘Sadbhavana Sammelan’ in Rohtak, Haryana.

The ‘teacher’ also launched an indirect attack on AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi who recently said that he will not chant the slogan even if he is threatened with dire consequences.

“Someone wearing a cap says that he won’t say ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’ even if you decapitate him. There is the law of the land, or else we could have decapitated lakhs,” said Ramdev.

He added that he respects law of the land and the country’s constitution. “We respect the constitution of the country, otherwise if anybody disrespects ‘Bharat Mata’, we have the ability to decapitate not one but lakhs,” he stated.
