The excitement levels among Thala fans this week would make you think that an Ajith-starrer is releasing. Not so. What they are waiting for, is to see Arya play a crazed Thala fan in Yatchan, doing the ‘palabhishekam’ (milk bath) for Ajith cut-outs and all.

Yatchan director Vishnuvardhan has a strong connection with Ajith, having last directed him in Arrambam. Besides the interesting tribute to Ajith – guaranteed to be a crowd-puller – Yatchan is billed as a comedy-action flick.

It’s a two-hero story, with Kreshna, brother of Vishnuvardhan, sharing screen space with Arya, who has previously proved his comic skills in films such as Boss Engira Bhaskaran.

The two leading ladies are Swathi and Deepa Sannidhi, who plays Arya’s love interest. Yatchan also stars Thamby Ramiah and RJ Balaji, famous for his funny-scathing reviews of movies.

Music for Yatchan is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the tracks have quickly climbed to the top of the charts. The BGM has also been getting rave reviews.

The movie is based on a short story by the writing duo known as Subha. It first appeared in Ananda Vikatan magazine.

It’s a massive release for Yatchan, with some 250 screens sets to show the film, starting tomorrow.

Here is the trailer of the much awaited film. Enjoy!
