AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) sent a letter to the police departments, urging them to practice yoga. PM Narendra Modi, upon  reviewing the activities and achievement of the AYUSH, expressed his desire to make Yoga for police mandatory.

Besides Baba Ramdev, Delhi Police will also be hiring qualified yoga instructors for regular sessions.

The ministry of AYUSH in it’s letter said, “District heads will be responsible for conducting yoga classes in their districts and units. It will be the responsibility of the DCP to prepare a time table and also he/she will ensure that instructor is taking classes as per the schedule.
