A must-read fact-check on candidates for Keralites heading to polling stations

Keralites, would you like to do a quick check on the politician you’re voting to power before you head to the polling booths on 16 May? Here is a compact aggregate statistics of candidates who urge you to mandate. Take a call wisely, folks!

After analysing the affidavits submitted by 1203 candidates contesting the assembly elections in Kerala, Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) have collated a statistical report of of 1125 candidates (78 Candidates were not analysed due to unclear affidavits available on the website of the ECI & CEO, Kerala).

48 constituencies in the Kerala assembly elections have 3 or more candidates with declared criminal cases.

*Red Alert Constituencies are those which have 3 or more candidates with criminal cases contesting elections.
