BSF takes custody of pigeon found carrying note of ‘warning’ from ‘terrorists’

A pigeon was taken to custody by Border Security Force (BSF) at Simbal post in Bamial sector on Sunday after it was found carrying a note of warning addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The letter in Urdu tied to the bird’s limb was found by a BSF personnel at the post. The grey pigeon was found near their post, Inspector of Narot Jaimal Singh Police Station, Ramesh Kumar said.

Fresh ‘warning’ comes after two balloons were recovered with similar messages from the same area.

“Modi Ji, do not consider us same people as we were during 1971 (Indo-Pak war). Now each and every child is ready to fight against India,” read the message in the note, according to police.

Police has confirmed taking the bird into custody for “investigating” the matter.

Two balloons were found at at Ghesal village in Dinanagar of Gurdaspur, which had suffered a terror attack in 2015.

According to reports, message from the balloons read: “Modiji, Ayubi ki talwaren abhi hamare paas hain. Islam zindabad.”
