Coldplay might be performing in India soon and we can’t hide our excitement
Coldplay seems to be finally looking at its Indian fans. Last year in June, frontman Chris Martin was in Delhi as part of a charity event. Chris and Freida Pinto, who are both brand ambassadors of the Global Poverty Project, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reaffirm their support for causes like Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao.

Chris and Freida also met Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal with the team of the charity to talk about their project.

We even saw Chris plan an impromptu gig with music composer Vishal Dadlani at a cafe in Delhi, as they were cheered on by Freida, musician Raghu Dixit and the guys from All India Bakchod (AIB).

Then again, Chris returned to India with his bandmates in September to shoot the video for their song Hymn for the Weekend, which also features Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor.

Now the buzz is that the band will return to India later this year, this time, to perform live in the country for the very first time! Yes, you read it right. If this particular piece published in the Mumbai Mirror today is to be believed, Coldplay will be headlining the charity’s annual fund-raising concert in India on November 19.

We can’t contain our excitement!
