An era has come to an end. Following the closure of KickAss Torrents, torrent hosting search engine Torrent.eu itself met its fate on Friday.
In what it came as a shocker to a myriad of download freaks around the globe Torrentz.eu – one of the world’s largest torrent sites and the largest torrent meta-search engine – was shut down as well.
Torrentz was founded in 2003 and for almost 13 years it was a go-to site for getting almost anything on internet. On Torrent.eu disabled it search function leaving a message in its main page:

The site has shut down its operation from all Torrentz domains, including the main .EU domain (both HTTP and HTTPS version) as well as other backups such as .ME, .CH, and .IN.
The sudden turn of events have left in netizens in pain and despair
